Perpetua Didn't Happen by Chance
Perpetua® is a brand of Alisea S.r.l. Società Benefit, a company that since 1994 has been uncovering ideas and building connections to transform landfill-bound waste into opportunities for design and innovation. All Perpetua objects are created within a circular economy model and stem from ethical, 100% Made in Italy supply chains.
1994
The brand through which Alisea Srl Benefit Corporation designs custom products by reclaiming industrial scraps—often supplied directly by corporate clients.
2013
The brand through which Alisea designs and manufactures products by reclaiming and upgrading graphite powder—an inevitable byproduct of industrial electrode and diamond cutter manufacturing.
2023
The ingredient brand through which Alisea develops symbiotic, circular innovation projects in partnership with industry leaders using upgraded reclaimed graphite.

Alisea Srl is founded as a contemporary art gallery and design studio providing corporate communication solutions, progressively shifting its focus toward upcycling client-supplied industrial waste.
2013

Tecno E.D.M. challenges Alisea to repurpose graphite powder—a byproduct of their industrial machining.

Zantech is born.

Perpetua the pencil is born, marking our first product and process patent.

Alisea files its second patent for textile dyeing using g® upgraded recycled graphite. g_pwdr® technology is launched.

Impact Assessment and financial statement
Alisea strengthens its commitment to continuous innovation towards the sustainability of processes and all company practices in order to minimize the negative impacts and amplify the positive ones on People, Territory and Biosphere by adopting the legal status of "BENEFIT COMPANY" in 2020 and by adding this commitment within its statute. In 2020 Alisea S.r.l. SB obtains the B-Corporation certification.
Social and Environmental Responsibility
We disliked the concept of waste. So we decided to redefine it starting from a simple question: what do you want to be when you grow up?
This story begins with a material whose destiny was to be buried underground forever, discarded permanently by industry. But graphite still had so much to say and do; of that, we were convinced. Since then, our mission has been to discover and define new forms and functions to bring it back into circulation, reclaiming tons of a precious material that would otherwise be dispersed into the environment.
