Perpetua Lumina
Perpetua Lumina is a luminous vision of the future—a synthesis of energy-efficiency research conducted by Lucedentro and Alisea’s philosophy of recycling and reuse.
Lumina’s eraser captures and stores natural or artificial light, releasing it in the dark with gradually decreasing intensity to emit a captivating, magical neon glow in blue or green.
The Design
Designed by Marta Giardini Studio, Perpetua possesses distinct aesthetic attributes and true novelty: it features a single flat side, while the rest of the body remains rounded.
Thanks to its specialized binder, Perpetua does not soil hands. Its protective outer layer prevents residue transfer while solving the fragility and breakage issues inherent to traditional graphite leads.
-
The eraser forms a single body with the writing core through a co-molding process that eliminates the need for glues or metal ferrules used in traditional pencils.
-
Perpetua writes 21.6 times longer than traditional pencils (data verified by IUAV University). Its line extends for 1,120 km—the exact distance between Vicenza (where Perpetua is made) and Paris.
-
Hardness comparable to an HB pencil.

The Materials
Perpetua the pencil is made from just two materials: Zantech and FDA-certified food-grade rubber. These two materials fuse seamlessly together through an innovative NGS (No Glue System) co-molding process.

Zantech
A patented, versatile technical compound available in injectable granules.
Industrial graphite byproducts are sieved, reduced to a precise particle size, and upgraded with a mineral excipient to produce g® upgraded recycled graphite. This ingredient is then combined with other polymers to yield granules perfectly suited for injection molding.

Food-Grade Rubber (FDA Certified)
Perpetua’s eraser is fused directly to the writing body without any adhesive, making it completely safe for everyday use. Certified for food contact by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
