Functional and aesthetically refined, its simplicity is only on the surface: g_cork is the result of merging patented materials and advanced production processes. By reclaiming graphite and cork, it reduces waste at the table. It represents Perpetua's vision of design: innovative, responsible, elegant, and 100% Made in Italy.

g_cork was born from the collaboration between two companies that treat material recovery and innovation as core tenets of their identity: Mixcycling—an innovative startup specializing in sustainable materials made from plant waste—and Alisea. By sharing know-how, values, and vision, we transform industrial waste into high-value design objects.

Design Beyond Form

The iconic shape of the g_cork head features a unique flat side, designed to prevent the cork from coming into contact with surface impurities. This design provides an unmistakable appearance while simultaneously ensuring a better grip on flat surfaces. Designed by Marta Giardini Studio and Labrenta for Alisea, it was selected for the ADI Compasso d'Oro.

Materials

g_cork combines patents and circular economy materials: Zantech (patented by Alisea, containing 80% g® upgraded recycled graphite) and Sughera (patented by Mixcycling, containing 70% recycled cork). These two materials are joined via our innovative NGS (No Glue System) co-molding process.

Zantech

A patented, versatile technical compound available in injectable granules.

Industrial graphite byproducts are sieved, reduced to a precise particle size, and upgraded with a mineral excipient to produce g® upgraded recycled graphite. This ingredient is then combined with other polymers to yield granules perfectly suited for injection molding.
