A revolution in the world of writing
To recycle tons of graphite powder we thought of creating a simple object: a pencil. We did not want one that was like the others. We wanted her to be unique, different and out of the ordinary, with a recognizable and unique design.
After a year of R&D, we created a material that did not exist before. We called it Zantech: it is a granule made of waste graphite. It is innovative, technological, and conductive. Thanks to Zantech we were able to re-invent the production processes, in circular economy, to produce pencils, and we deposited it all over the world. Thanks to this innovative material Perpetua is the only pencil in the world able to conduct electricity.

Perpetua is the only pencil produced in Italy and the first in the world made with 80% graphite powder otherwise destined for disposal in landfill.
It is innovative
A new concept of pencil
The classic wooden pencils are round, this makes them pleasant to the touch but with the defect of rolling away from the support surfaces. Designer Marta Giardini solved this problem by designing Perpetua with an innovative design (Honorable Mention at the Compasso d'Oro) that combines functionality and aesthetics. Its unique flat side together with the rest of the rounded body give a particular and pleasant grip control and, at the same time, a perfect adhesion to any type of surface.
The technology with which Perpetua is made forms an external protective layer that prevents it from getting your hands dirty and, in addition, it solves the problems of fragility and breakage, typical of the traditional graphite mine.
Thanks to Zantech, the wooden shells, glued to protect the mines, become superfluous.

Perpetua is resistant and does not break if it falls. Try throwing it against a wall… and you'll see!
It is long-lasting
An object is sustainable if it lasts over time!
Perpetua writes 21,6 times more than traditional pencils (IUAV data). It writes for 1120 km, the same distance that separates Vicenza - where Perpetua is produced - from Paris!

Perpetua always writes, even without a tip or if divided in two or more parts because it is in its nature the promise of a writing that is destined to last.
It is eco-friendly

By using Perpetua you are disposing of 15grams of graphite powder - production waste from technological industries - otherwise destined to the landfill.
Perpetua does not use wood, varnishing, or glues. Few people know that around 82,000 trees are cut down every year to produce 14 billion traditional pencils. With Perpetua no trees are cut down!
Perpetua always has its own eraser (FDA, Food and Drug Administration, certified).
The eraser is moulded directly with its writing part, without using glues or collars, typical of traditional pencils.
Perpetua is not only a choice of style in writing, but also and above all the choice of living respecting our Planet with the awareness that small gestures make the difference.

Agape - Fraglia Cooperative of Vicenza
It is the young people and volunteers of the Agape - Fraglia Cooperative of Vicenza who manage Perpetua's warehouse, logistics and packaging. The mission of this cooperative is to include people with all kinds of disabilities at work - in the belief that this way anyone can find their own place within the company.
The DNA of Fraglia is identical to that of Alisea: "both realities put people at the centre of their work" - Susanna Martucci, CEO of Alisea and Perpetua.
It is creative

The variety of colours, the possibilities of customization, the encounter with artisan techniques: Perpetua frees creativity, contaminating itself with different styles that give life to unique and surprising results.
The stream sand mixes with the specks of recycled aluminum thanks to goldsmith techniques: that’s how the unmistakable decoration of Perpetua Glitter was born.
The Valentini brothers, Paolo and Mauro, interpret Perpetua making it a musical instrument and an artisan jewel.
A research on energy saving and photoluminescence that allows Perpetua to capture sunlight and light up in the dark, gave birth to Perpetua Lumina.
Salavat Fidai, Russian sculptor and artist, sculpts Perpetua giving life to the characters of Star Wars, the symbols of the Olympic Games, the logo of the new Starbucks Reserve ™ Roastery experience stores.
